National New England Clam Chowder Day


9:30 a.m., FREE run (food is pay-as-you-go)

Celebrate National New England Clam Chowder Day with the (free!) "Chowder Awareness Fun Run" starting at Philly's Oyster House. The run, which is a 5K, is set to head from the restaurant down the Ben Franklin Parkway and features a massive red lobster leading the way. Afterwards, warm up with $5 bowls of chowder and $1 Narragansett beers starting at 11 a.m.

Percy Street Barbecue Meat Deals


5 p.m. – close, $27 per person

Feast on all-you-can-eat ribs every Wednesday in January at Percy Street. The weekly event also coincides with Meat Week, which runs through Jan. 30th and features a huge, family-style meal – just in case you're dining with a group.
