Top Things To Do In Philadelphia Today, Dec. 10
Looking for something to do today? Here are our top three picks…there's something for everyone in the Philadelphia area!
Story Time: Meet Barton the Porcupine
2:30 – 3 p.m., FREE with admission
If you've ever seen one of Teddy Bear the Porcupine's adorable Facebook videos, you know just how cute this spiky animal can be. Today, the Academy of Natural Sciences invites curious little ones and their parents or guardians to meet Barton the porcupine, who is new to the Academy and apparently quite affectionate despite his prickly exterior. After getting a closer look at Barton, kids can settle in for story time featuring the children's book, A Porcupine Named Fluffy.
Spirits & Suds with Santa
5:30 – 9:30 p.m., $5 admission
Partake in this festive pub crawl up and down East Passyunk Avenue tonight. Registration begins at South Philly Bar & Grill between 5:30 and 7:30 p.m., where guests can also pick up their Santa or elf hat, and the holiday party continues from bar to bar before finishing at the Adobe Café. In addition to numerous drink specials, bar-goers will also collect stamps on their "Santa's Sipping Stamp Card" for the chance to win a gift certificate worth $325. Happy sipping!
