With a higher jump height than many places in the area (13,500 feet), advanced training starts with three training tandem skydives and then progresses to seven jumps with one instructor in freefall. For students who want to get on the fast track to going solo, this USPA-certified method can get them there in just a few lessons. A member of the United States Parachute Association (USPA), Skydive Philadelphia offers one of the most comprehensive skydiving adventure packages in the area. Safety is paramount, and with a staff with over 30 years experience in the field, freshman skydivers can feel confident that they're in good hands when they jump from up to 14,000 feet. And here's a fun fact: 20th Century Fox actually used this facility's skydiving plane for the classic Keanu Reeves movie "Point Break" because they needed the best, most state-of-the-art aircraft for a key scene in the 1991 flick.
