Pennsylvania is home to the oldest operating brewery in the United States (D.G. Yuenging & Son) along with dozens of craft breweries, many of them located right here in Philly. Of course, you can always tour these breweries yourself, but that means you'll miss out on the convenient transportation, extra knowledge and new friends the brew tours listed below provide.

Brewtiful Tours takes you to breweries in and around Philadelphia and South Jersey. Tickets consist of a tour guide, transportation via a bus and a visit to three or four breweries with locations alternating weekly. The breweries include Neshaminy Creek Brewing Company and Village Idiot Brewing Company, for example. The tour will bring you to each brewery for about an hour, meaning that the whole day could last anywhere between five and six hours. Sign up for the tour yourself or bring a few friends. It picks you up at 1211 Arch St. and, if you choose the original brew tour, will take you to three or four breweries for a tasting of more than 15 different types of beers on either Saturday or Sunday, with a stop at 2nd Story Brewing for lunch. Some of the breweries that are toured include Philadelphia Brewing Company, Lunacy Brewing Company and Dock Street Brewery. The After Hours Brew Tour leaves any day of the week at 5:30 p.m. and features a sampling of 18 different beers, a dinner and beer pairing and special tours. Philly Brew Tours is also available for private and custom tours, perfect for a birthday or bachelorette party.

Tastings & Tours brings you to three or four breweries and pubs in Bucks County, Montgomery County, Berks County or Cape May. The trip includes a ride on a 14 passenger bus (a 15-plus passenger bus is available upon request), private tastings, tours and a lunch. The tours hit different breweries each time, but may include trips to Weyerbacher, Prism Brewing Company or Doylestown Brewing Company, for instance. Tasting & Tours also offers tours of the finest wineries in the area. The 14 passenger bus may be reserved for a private party, however, you must pay for the empty seats.
