There’s nothing more relaxing than sipping a cold brew or enjoying a nice cocktail outside when the weather is warm. Fortunately, Philadelphia has no shortage of outdoor patios. See below for some of the best spots in the city.

Tucked behind the Asian-inspired restaurant Sampan, Grafitti Bar is a 30-seat open air patio. To get to the bar without going through the restaurant, head down the long alleyway. When you finally reach Graffiti Bar, you’ll be glad you did — it’s colorful and bustling with city folk on warm summer days. From Monday through Friday between 4 p.m. and 7 p.m., the Grafitti Bar is also home to the $2 Satay happy hour. Follow it on Twitter for cocktail specials that rotate daily.

Grab some friends and enjoy the view of Old City on the pretty second-floor patio at Revolution House. This cozy bar and restaurant’s outdoor space is the next best thing to stepping out on your deck at home. Revolution House, as the name might suggest, celebrates Philadelphia’s rich history in both its décor and its food. In fact, original brick from the 1789 Quaker Friend’s Meeting House graces the wall. As for the food, expect a menu full of savory American cuisine. Try a wood-fired pizza or a small plate paired with drinks.
435 Spring Garden St.
Philadelphia, PA 19123
Silk City is a diner, dance club and outdoor beer garden, but when the weather is nice, you’ll definitely want to be in the beer garden, which also offers a tiki bar. With 3,000 square feet to work with, you’ll have plenty of room to roam around and enjoy the night sky. Wrought-iron gates surround the garden and Christmas lights strung around brighten up the place. While relishing in the air outside, dine on inventive American cuisine and enjoy creative cocktails. If it gets too cold, head inside to the diner or warm up on the dance floor.
901 N. 2nd St.
Philadelphia, PA 19123
The roof deck patio at Standard Tap in Northern Liberties will take you away from the city with its farmhouse appeal and pastoral décor. Imagine that you’re basking in the countryside while enjoying the local flavors of the restaurant. Standard Tap supports Buy Fresh Buy Local and Greensgrow Farms, and its menu is ever changing (updated daily on a chalkboard) and only uses local ingredients. The restaurant only serves the best beer from Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware and has more than 20 on tap.
