Tucked behind the Asian-inspired restaurant Sampan, Grafitti Bar is a 30-seat open air patio. To get to the bar without going through the restaurant, head down the long alleyway. When you finally reach Graffiti Bar, you'll be glad you did -- it's colorful and bustling with city folk on warm summer days. From Monday through Friday between 4 p.m. and 7 p.m., the Grafitti Bar is also home to the $2 Satay happy hour. Follow it on Twitter for cocktail specials that rotate daily.

Dogs are welcome at this quaint backyard patio in Fishtown. Perfect for conversation with friends, the Interstate Drafthouse serves American food, craft beer and amazing cocktails. Come during happy hour (Monday through Friday, 4 p.m. 7 p.m.) and try a Fishtown Iced Tea for $5. Of course, there are many specials at the Interstate Drafthouse, like dollar tacos and $3 drafts on Taco Tuesdays as well as a $10 beer and burger on Two Fisted Wednesdays.

Revolution House

Philadelphia, PA 19106

Grab some friends and enjoy the view of Old City on the pretty second-floor patio at Revolution House. This cozy bar and restaurant's outdoor space is the next best thing to stepping out on your deck at home. Revolution House, as the name might suggest, celebrates Philadelphia's rich history in both its décor and its food. In fact, original brick from the 1789 Quaker Friend's Meeting House graces the wall. As for the food, expect a menu full of savory American cuisine. Try a wood-fired pizza or a small plate paired with drinks.

Wrought-iron gates surround the garden and Christmas lights strung around brighten up the place. While relishing in the air outside, dine on inventive American cuisine and enjoy creative cocktails. If it gets too cold, head inside to the diner or warm up on the dance floor.
