With the introduction of Chef Jose Garces' newest hot spot, The Olde Bar, Philly can properly welcome in spring. Garces' has tastefully transformed the old space, once home to the beloved Bookbinder's, into a contemporary oyster bar and cocktail lounge maintaining the seafood tradition in a new hot spot.

Serving up happy hour, dinner and late night treats, The Olde Bar is your perfect destination to relax after a long day of work (aka playing Pac Man on Google maps) or kick off a night on the town. With three choices of oysters, a snack menu that includes snapper turtle soup (an old Bookbinder tradition), and full plates consisting of dishes like the Fish & Chips, you can properly line your stomach for a solid night of drinking.

If you're on what we like to call a "liquid diet" the long list of classic and signature cocktails, like the High Society with Hendrick's Gin, Lemon and Champagne, as well as the unique selection of brews, will definitely hit the spot. If you're looking for something a bit more filling, combine your oysters and drink with any of the deliciously oyster shooters. Once you've had enough, take a break then come back in for your late night munchies to enjoy some Beef Fat Fries. Now that's a hangover cure!
