THE DEFENSE

Q: Love the Impreza. How did you get it?

A: I got into my first accident ever on St. Patrick's Day 2010, in my first car, a 2009 Subaru Impreza named Bonnie Blue. It happened on my way to work. After my insurance company declared it totaled, I was basically looking for an exact replacement and found my darling Melanie. I bought her in June of 2010. I bought the car at Liberty Subaru in Emerson, N.J. The salesman was a very sweet man and made buying the car a breeze.

Q: How do you feel about your Impreza?

A: I'll most likely only ever buy Subaru cars from now on. The all-wheel drive, style and the durability is exactly what I'm looking for. My main use is commuting to work, which until last week was seven days a week. My one job requires me to travel one and a half hours one way, each day. So, I spend approximately three hours a day in my car. I also like to take naps in my car or read with the sunroof open.

Q: What's the one thing you would change or add to your car if you could?

A: Minus a few scratches, it's pretty much all I want. One feature I did not realize how much I would like was the window tint. Luckily, my boyfriend surprised me when I returned from a family trip to Chicago. I enjoy the privacy it provides and the overall look.

Q: How many miles do you think are in the life of your car?

A: Hopefully 200,000.

Q: Is there anything else we should know about your car?

A: While the inside is pretty clean, the outside typically never is!
