THE DEFENSE
Q: Yowzer, a Jeep Patriot! That's a serious ride. Do you ever go off-roading? What can you tell us about your ride?
A: I bought it from Lansdale Chrysler Jeep in Lansdale, Pennsylvania about a year and a half ago. It was a mixed emotion experience. I went to my dealership and checked one out. The dealer said they'd put a hold on the Jeep for two days, so I could figure out the money, loan. I found out I could buy it one day later and immediately called the dealer. They couldn't find it and said it had been sold that day. I actually started crying. Anyway, they stated they'd look for the same car at another dealership and call me back. They found one, had it driven up and I bought it that night.
Q: You seem like the kind of person who gets what she wants. What is your ride's main use? Just commuting then?
A: I use it mostly to and from work. I drive from Havertown to Fort Washington. I also visit my parents and friends in the Poconos [and] Lehigh Valley with it. If I had to calculate, I'd say I spend about six hours a week in it.
Q: What's your favorite or worst part of your commute?
A: My favorite is getting to listen to music and to get pumped for work. The worst part is there are other drivers on the road, which leads to traffic and road rage. My favorite day trip would have to be going into Philly. I like driving into South Philly, parking and shopping in the Italian Market. Outside of the area, I enjoy going into New York City mostly to find new places to eat.
Q: Do you have any rules in your car?
A: I pretty much only have one rule: No smoking! I'm allergic and I like new car smell, so why mess it up? Yes, I still have friends and family who smoke even though it's 2011.
Q: Finally, if your awesome Jeep Patriot had a theme song, what would it be?
A: It'd be happy. I just picture the Jeep always being happy and that thought makes me happy too. Its horn sound is kind of girly so that sounds happy. I love it!
