I just discovered my new favorite cupcake spot “Sweet Elizabeth’s” on Main Street in Manayunk. They just opened but their sweets are inventive and delicious. I had one of their red velvet cupcakes and it was amazing!

I have to post props to Whipped Bakery. We had my son’s 10th birthday cake from there and it was beyond spectacular!!! Give it a try, you won’t be disappointed.

The Ultimate Bake Shoppe also has some of the best cupcakes I have ever had as well. I have tried these other places, and they were good, but I don’t think they come close the The Ultimate Bake shoppe in Wayne and Ardmore. Red Velvet and Mom’s Chocolate with cream cheese icing… YUM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Jarred

Ummm… how did sophisticakes not make it on this list. Brown betty cupcakes taste like cardboard…and if u like crisco infused icing…well then every other place listed will satisfy you

Try Sophisticakes in Drexel Hill. Cupcakes are to die for. 15 different flavors , its hard to choose. Try the triple chocolate oh my wow!

Buttercream Cupcake Truck is the best on the list. I have had 4 different
kinds already and they are moist and light. Anything with the nutella is delicious. Chocolate with Peanut Butter and Chocolate with vanilla buttercream are also 2 of my favorites. Red Velvet cupcakes are an experience in themself.

Yeah, Naked Chocolate’s cupcakes are not good. Neither are DiBruno or Flying Monkey – both dry and lacking flavor.
