Summer is over, and it's time to switch out the flip-flops and tank tops for ankle boots and cardigans. The trends for fall 2013 run the gamut from lace to camouflage. The choices are endless, and the opportunity to create your own signature look by blending many styles has never been more accessible. "Fashion rules" are a thing of the past. Mix, match, layer...anything goes. The sky's the limit this season.

Niama Turner is a Philadelphia stylist and fashion writer. Through years of working in various parts of the fashion industry, she has found her niche with style news and tips to help readers enhance their fashion image. Her resume includes styling and assisting with the production of fashion segments for national television shows such as "The Today Show," "The View" and "Movie and A Makeover." Naima shares with us the top fashion trends you should include in your wardrobe this season. She covers everything, from accessories and footwear to prints. Check out her list for some great tips and ideas to update your wardrobe.

Statement Jewelry - From bold, gem-inspired cocktail rings to sparkling bib necklaces to striking cuffs, accessorizing an outfit with this season's statement jewelry can make any look special. Whether you want to wear a simple LBD (little black dress) or your favorite jeans and a blazer, be sure to add a hint of dazzle with an eye-catching piece.

Signature Leather - Incorporating leather into your wardrobe is a simple way to add a touch of edge. For instance, incorporating something as simple as a leather jacket can transform a flowing skirt from day to night. Even if you would rather tip toe into the luxe world of leather, it's easy to do so by buying an item with leather trim, such as shirts, jackets or dresses.

Black and White - Women trying to look sharp at the office or at a cocktail party may want to make an entrance in a black and white ensemble. Besides, the rule of not wearing white after Labor Day is a thing of the past. At the office, try a white blazer and white shirt with a pair of black slacks. For a cocktail event, try a sheath dress in a snazzy black and white print, or you can simply coordinate your best white and black solids together to create a look that's modern.

Leopard Print - Take your look to where the wild things are by livening it up with a leopard-print shirt, dress or shoe. While this is a trend that will remain classic, you should choose your animal print items wisely. However, if you feel like really going bold with leopard, try the print in an electrifying color such as red.

Ankle-Strap Heels or Booties - Having a shoe that's versatile can take any look a long way. This season, the shoe that can work with a number of wardrobe items -- from straight-leg pants to pencil skirts to flirty dresses -- are ankle-strap shoes or booties.
