Road crews are preparing for snow, sleet and freezing rain overnight that could make for a slick commute during the morning rush.
All afternoon the temperature hovered just enough above the freezing mark to keep the precipitations from icing up on the main roads.
“You walk on something you think is slush, and it’s ice,” said Scott Gaffney.
Expect a mix of light snow, sleet or freezing rain & drizzle to arrive 6-8 AM Monday. A coating of snow and light ice accumulation is possible if the cold air remains in place long enough.
