US Attorney General Praises Philadelphia-Based Program For Ex-Felons

Eric Holder was in Philadelphia to look at the federal Re-Entry Court, a locally developed program that gives felons a chance to shave time off their parole by taking part in productive activities.

Advocacy Groups Want Probe Into Assault Acquittal of Philadelphia Cop

Lt. Jonathan Josey was found not guilty of assault charges stemming from an incident in which he was caught on videotape slapping a woman to the ground during a Puerto Rican Day celebration. The judge’s wife is a Philadelphia police officer.

U.S. Attorney General Announces Funding For Law Enforcement Positions In 44 Cities, Including Philadelphia

Holder announced the funding at Philadelphia City Hall on Monday. It comes through the U.S. Department of Justice Office of Community Oriented Policing Services.
