Urban League of Philadelphia
Students involved with the Urban League of Philadelphia had the chance to connect with potential employers Wednesday at the organization’s 2nd annual job fair.
A Philadelphia church hosted an event Monday that offered free flu shots as well as help signing up for Obamacare.
“I want to start a program, whether it be a nonprofit or through a foundation, that is geared toward youth education through the means of storytelling,” said Cory Dulaney (in white sweater).
To mark the 150th Anniversary of the signing of the Emancipation Proclamation, the Urban League of Philadelphia showed off an original copy of the document during a special ceremony at the National Constitution Center Monday evening.
The report from The National Urban League lists several recommendations, including summer youth job programs and an urban jobs act.
