A new Gallup poll released on Thursday shows that just 10% of Americans have faith in the United States Congress.
Former U.S. Sen. Arlen Specter, the outspoken Pennsylvania centrist whose switch from Republican to Democrat ended a 30-year career in which he played a pivotal role in several Supreme Court nominations, died Sunday.
“There are over 32,000 young adults in our state who can stay on their parents’ insurance now, up to the age of 26, and they would have to go back to being uninsured,” says Athena Ford with the Pennsylvania Health Access Network.
The new Congress will be sworn in this week and there won’t be much breathing room before the national debate begins. There may also be some high risks for the party who won the election.
