They go back together to the “sowing room” days, back to the bleak times when they shared a two-year 1-and-22 stretch and nothing was going right. It’s when Haverford High School head coach Joe Gallagher and assistant coach Justin Mellor would retreat to the sowing room because it had the best white board in the school at that time and they had to draw up new plays.
If Coatesville stellar senior Daquan Worley had his choice, he’ll be a cornerback when he arrives at Penn State next summer. In the meantime, the Penn State-commit continues to do something he’s been doing since he first touched a football, and that’s running through defenses and scoring touchdowns.
It’s August and already St. Joseph’s Prep coach Gabe Infante is up against an unwinnable battle: It will hard keeping his team from wandering onto websites, Twitter and text feeds, chat rooms and Facebook pages without reading all of the good things that are expected from the Hawks this season.
