A high pressure system will remain in control for Thursday, keeping skies mostly sunny with highs a bit cooler near 70 degrees.
Skies will clear overnight allowing temperatures to fall fast. The low in Philadelphia, around 60, just a few degrees shy of the record low: 58 set in 1981.
It doesn’t feel like the July 4th holiday with below average temperatures and a very dry air mass in place.
