Today, Governor Tom Corbett signed a bill at the Visitation BVM School in Norristown to better protect the health of student athletes.
There’s a new bill that will be introduced in Trenton that would require health care providers to conduct a more thorough cardiac screening for student athletes and medical professionals are counting on parents to help too.
The bill would require that students who show signs of a concussion or brain injury be removed from a game and not allowed to play again until evaluated and cleared by an appropriate medical professional.
