SMU defeated Temple 69-56 on Saturday to advance in the American Athletic Conference Tournament.
Temple’s winning streak came to an end as they lost 67-58 to SMU.
SMU had plenty of fans on its trip to Philadelphia. SMU coach Larry Brown coached the Philadelphia 76ers for six seasons and led them to the 2001 NBA finals. Aaron McKie, the sixth man on that team, is now a Temple assistant coach.
The Temple Owls will be looking to bounce back from a difficult loss. Larry Brown will be standing in their way.
