Many New Jersey beach towns will need beach replenishment funds following Superstorm Sandy. If legislation sponsored by state Senator Michael Doherty and state Senate President Steve Sweeney becomes law, storm damaged towns that accept federal replenishment funds must provide free beach access and public toilet facilities.
At the original Mart Pretzel Bakery in Cinnaminson, five employees who make pretzels in several sizes and flavors make more than New Jersey’s minimum wage of $7.25 an hour. Most start around $8 an hour says Shaughnessy Fraser, whose family owns the business.
