The Eagles appear to be the popular pick to win this weekend’s crucial game against the Dallas Cowboys.
With the Cowboys banged up, the Eagles look to be heading in to a win-or-go-home NFC East Division championship match-up in the final week of the regular season.
Forget everything about what happened in the earlier meeting between the Eagles and Cowboys. The Eagles were in the midst of a quarterback revolving door between Nick Foles and Mike Vick and had not quite found their offensive identity. That has changed now. The Eagles offense is firing on all cylinders and should be able to play well against this Dallas defense that really struggles to stop much of anything.
Eagles fans are likely to be pretty riled up on Sunday at Lincoln Financial Field, with the team having won two straight games, and the Cowboys in town with the division lead on the line. But it won’t just be Eagles fans who will be ready for the game.
While this may be Chip Kelly’s first rodeo with the Cowboys, there are enough players on the roster who should know what is at stake when the star comes to town. The Eagles look to have the kind of offense that can cause some problems for Dallas, especially if the Cowboys fail to bring any sort of pass rush with the possible absence of DeMarcus Ware.
