Delta Plans To Reopen Trainer Refinery By Labor Day

Government officials hailed the sale of the ConocoPhillips refinery in Trainer, Delaware County to a division of Delta Airlines, which plans to use the facility to keep its own fuel costs in check. But there are still two other refineries whose futures remain in doubt.

Lawmakers Discuss Safety of Idled Delco Refineries

Officials of Sunoco and ConocoPhillips told state lawmakers yesterday they are still working to find a buyer their idled Delaware County refineries, while local emergency response officials expressed concerns that they may be left holding the bag if no buyers are found.
