Red Flag Warning
Winds will die down rapidly this evening into tonight, eventually becoming calm. And as a system approaches from the west, we can expect more moisture in the air leading to less risky conditions.
Fire danger will remain high right through the day on Thursday as winds will gust to 30mph once again.
Windy and dry conditions have prompted a red flag warning for brush fires across a broad section of the East, including New Jersey and eastern Pennsylvania.
Since the start of 2012, dry weather has spread across much of the Northeastern United States. Rainfall deficits have climbed above 5″ in our area but in some cities such as Boston, MA the rainfall deficit has already exceeded 7″.
