Operation Gratitude is a non-profit that gives Americans a way to say “thank you” to the military men and women fighting over seas.
More than 5,000 participants came out to Fairmount Park on Saturday morning to race to help raise money for charity.
Operation Gratitude Day is this Friday. It’s Philadelphia’s chance to donate items for care packages sent to troops deployed overseas.

Those attending the Army-Navy game will be able to show their appreciation for the troops through “Operation Gratitude.”
