Health: Local Center Works On Getting The Word Out About Jewish Genetic Disease Screenings

Sundown tonight marks the beginning of Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement, is the holiest on the Jewish calendar. This year, synagogues around the Philadelphia area will be helping to raise awareness about inherited Jewish diseases.

Bike And Walk Event In Jenkintown To Raise Money In Fight Against Rare Disease

Familial Dysautonomia is primarily a Jewish genetic disease that afflicts about 350 people around the world. Twelve of them are in the Philadelphia area and two at Old York Road Temple-Beth Am in Abington.
