Philadelphia Ceasefire unveiled a 33-foot long Winnebago RV wrapped in the message “Stop. Shooting. People.”
Scores of former gang leaders came together Wednesday in Northwest Philadelphia to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Imani pledge– the ceasefire promise that ended the years of gang wars that plagued the city during the 1960s and 70s.
An organization dedicated to reducing gun violence in high risk communities in Philadelphia was among groups participating in Macy’s “Shop for a Cause” day.
