Pennsylvania’s various 9-1-1 systems are in need of renewal and there’s a lot more to it than just finding the money for upgrades.
The Delaware County SPCA officially gets out of the business of retrieving stray animals at midnight tonight. Most of the 49 municipalities in the county are on board with a new plan for animal control going forward.
Delaware County is building a new million dollar animal shelter across from its Emergency Services Training Center in Darby Township. It’s meant to replace the county SPCA which, after December 31st, will no longer pick up stray dogs and cats in 49 municipalities.
