Police have lifted a lockdown at a university in Erie County, Pennsylvania following a reported off-campus shooting Monday night.
Authorities have locked down two southern New Jersey schools after a bullet was found.
Officials at Radnor High School briefly locked down the school Tuesday after hearing reports of a man carrying a rifle inside a vehicle on Lancaster Avenue.
A prank led to the lockdown of a high school in Montgomery County Friday morning, a school official said.
“We apologize for any inconvenience and confusion this response may have caused,” Col. Randy Huiss, 436th Airlift Wing vice wing commander said. “However, these measures were taken to ensure the safety of the base populace as we investigated the reports and found them to be false.”
The shooting prompted a precautionary lockdown of H.B. Wilson Elementary School on S. 8th Street in Camden.
Investigators say a contractor unknowingly prompted a lockdown at Pennsbury High School East and West in Bucks County Wednesday morning.

The male, who was in court waiting to be transported to Bucks County Prison, fled the courthouse while in handcuffs. He was captured about 45 minutes later.
