The Please Touch Museum is targeting potential philanthropists who grew up as museum visitors for its $30-million fundraising campaign.
The Please Touch Museum held the ribbon cutting ceremony for its new exhibit on Tuesday. This new exhibit is being billed as ‘fun for kids and their parents.’
“Play normalizes any experience, and it sort of demystifies doctors and hospitals,” a spokeswoman for Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia explains.
The museum’s fundraising fell short by $21 million when the museum reopened at its Fairmount Park location, and contributions have slackened because of the recession.
