John C. Anderson Apartments
The yearlong collaboration between members of the Attic Youth Center and seniors from the LGBT-oriented John C. Anderson Apartments produced a series of photos that focus on faces, with eyes open and closed.
This week on “What’s Cooking,” Hadas Kuznits reports on three new casual dining spots around the Delaware Valley.
The John C. Anderson Apartments, at 249 South 13th Street, “officially” opened on Monday, but LGBT seniors actually started living here in January.
Residents are expected to begin moving into the $19-million John C. Anderson Apartments, at 13th and Spruce Streets, in just a couple of weeks.
“I know too many LGBT pioneers who don’t have the money and who are almost homeless,” Mark Segal says. “This is place for them to love with dignity in their own community.”
