It was no accident that help was nearby whenever runners suffered health problems at last Sunday’s Broad Street Run.
“There were quite a number that were shut out of the process because it opened and closed so fast,” says Broad Street race director Jim Marino, “so we felt the lottery would be a much easier way for everybody to get involved.”
The open registration field is limited to 30,000, and organizers say it took four days to reach that capacity last year.
If you plan on participating in the city’s 33rd annual Broad Street Run, make sure you register on time. Registration for the May 6th race is expected to sell out within a matter of days.
