    Local Red Cross and Animal Sheltering Group Make Fridays a Fire Safety Day

    The Red Cross of Southeastern Pennsylvania has teamed up with Red Paw Emergency Relief, an animal safety organization, for “Fire Safe Fridays.”

    A Philadelphia firefighter sympathetic to the plight of animal owners standing in the street, clutching their beloved pets as they watch their home burn, is doing all she can to find temporary shelter for these creatures.
