Flyers Take Home Opener Over Vancouver, 5-4

The facelift the Flyers received came blaring out at a capacity-filled Wells Fargo Center in their home opener. A new goalie. A future Hall of Famer. A team sprinkled with new faces and a new identity. And a new captain. It alerted the chanting throng on the JumboTron Wednesday night. As if they didn’t know already that on one section of Broad Street, new alchemy does seem to work.
