The seat attracted primary competition because it’s open for the first time in more than two decades. Democratic Rep. Rob Andrews resigned in February after more than 23 years in office.
Cobb threw his football helmet in the ring for the First District seat that had been Rob Andrews’ since 1990.
Garry Cobb is among the candidates who have filed petitions to represent New Jersey ahead of Monday’s 4 p.m. deadline to file.
