Friends of the Barnes Foundation
Critics of the move from Merion to Museum Row say they should have a permanent display about Barnes and his work.
Two months after hearing oral arguments from both sides, Judge Stanley Ott has offered his opinion and ruling, saying he would not hear further arguments regarding the move of the multimillion-dollar art collection.
Even though the Barnes Foundation closed the doors to its Lower Merion location last month in preparation for a move to Philadelphia, the Friends of the Barnes Foundation is still trying to block the transfer of the multi-million dollar art collection.
The parties on both sides of the controversy surrounding the planned move of one of the most valuable personal art collections ever assembled were back in a Montgomery County courtroom on Tuesday morning.
The Friends of the Barnes Foundation, a group which has been trying for years to stop the famed art collection from being moved to a new home in Philadelphia, is wondering whether a recent string of vandalism is related to the ongoing battle.
