As recently as six years ago, China and India each began sending 100,000 students to the US. But since then, enrollment of foreign students has dropped off, except for China and Saudi Arabia.
In this economy, it’s not a surprise that the majority of college students attend community and four-year public colleges. But surprisingly, of those under 30, more than 35% attend part time.
A group of foreign students have filed a complaint against Hershey’s Chocolate, alleging the company violated the terms of their visas. The students staged a sit-in at the packaging plant where they’ve been working this summer, while in the U.S. on cultural exchange visas.
