Authorities say a seven-year-old boy had a loaded gun in his backpack at a West Philadelphia school on Thursday.
The student was reportedly walking on the 1300 block of Girard Avenue on Jan. 22 around 7:45 a.m. when he was approached by two unknown males.
A 20-year-old female was arrested after she told police she broke into a Winslow Township school to look for money.
Governor Markell has also ordered the American and Delaware flags at state buildings and facilities also be flown at half-staff until the end of the day on December 18.
