The Philadelphia Flyers won their first Atlantic Division title in seven years and now they’re poised to make another run at winning the Stanley Cup.
With a few wisps of brick dust followed by a shower of broken glass, the demolition of the Spectrum began Tuesday afternoon.
The city and Ed Snider’s youth hockey foundation are going halves on a more than $12-million dollar project to revitalize Philadelphia’s municipal ice rinks.
The Spectrum is set for one last shot. The famed arena in South Philadelphia will face the wrecking ball at noon on Nov. 23.
