Microsoft is going on the offensive against the world’s most popular e-mail service, starting a multimillion dollar advertising blitz that questions the way Gmail works.
A study put 13 workers on heart monitors as they went through their daily grind, and then the same work but without the e-mail. It found a cardiac marker of stress during the e-mail period.
One expert says that’s bad for businesses and consumers alike.
“The data you share is massive in quantity. What are you doing to protect that?” Asks Mark McCreary, a data security attorney at Fox Rothschild in Philadelphia.
