He says elderly residents suffering from dementia walked away from their homes in Upper Dublin and Lower Merion, and were found dead. A third person, from West Philadelphia, was taken to Lankenau Hospital suffering from hypothermia.
Dr. Walter Hofman, the coroner, says JoAnne Miller was 22 or 23 weeks pregnant when she was killed by a gunshot to the head inside her home in the 3000 block of Stony Creek Road, in East Norriton.
The Montgomery County coroner says an Upper Merion infant’s death nearly 20 years ago was not due to natural causes. He testified Wednesday at the trial of a former babysitter accused of murdering the child.
Dr. Walter Hofman says 54-year-old Esther Louis and her 21-year-old son, Richard Guerrier, both of Philadelphia, died of multiple injuries, and he believes they had no way of knowing what was about to happen to them.
The woman is identified as Catherine Kelly, 72, of Spring Mill Avenue in Conshohocken.
