The jury foreman has told the court emotions ran high and tears were shed during deliberations.
They acquitted Brown’s two co-defendants of charges they conspired with her to cover up fraud at the four charter schools she founded.

The School Reform Commission last night failed to renew the charters of two schools founded by a woman who is on trial on fraud charges.
Dorothy June Brown, the founder of three charter schools in the Philadelphia area, is named with four others in a 62-count indictment alleging they defrauded the government of $6.5 million.
