New Jersey Conducts Shore Hurricane-Evacuation Drill

Some 300 New Jersey state police and transportation department workers took part in a statewide hurricane drill today in Cumberland County to test their ability to get hundreds of thousands of people out of shore towns if the need occurs.

Officials say fire crews were battling a two-alarm blaze that broke out at a building in Vineland, Cumberland County Saturday evening.

Disaster Officials Review South Jersey Flood Damage, Assessing Need for Aid

Some two dozen roads throughout Cumberland County remain closed, including one that crosses Seeley Lake. Two sections of Finley Road are gone — along with most of the lake water.
