3 Charged With Stealing Copper From Unoccupied Homes in Montco, Setting Fires To Cover Their Tracks

Grand jury documents indicate the three would log onto a real estate web site to find homes that were in foreclosure or a part of an estate sale.

It’s becoming a chronic problem, causing occasional train delays, and officials say they’re taking steps to stop it.

Couple Sentenced For Stealing SEPTA Overhead Wires In Montgomery County

Septa and Peco officials say Mark and Patricia Andrews of Springfield Township caused more than a million and half dollars in damage when they used bolt cutters to rip down the copper wires from poles along the tracks last September.

Birdsboro Man Arrested For Cutting Amtrak Signal Lines

A man was arrested on Friday afternoon after he was observed cutting signal lines from the Amtrak railway just west of the Whitford Rail Station in Exton.
