A hearing is scheduled in federal court in Philadelphia today in the case of defendant Chaka Fattah Jr., charged with fraud and tax evasion.
The $30-million federal grant from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development will bring 300 new or renovated homes to a half-square mile around Temple University.
