Vanessa Hudgens continues her transition from the Disney Channel good-girl-persona phase of her career to that of a serious and mature actress, but –- at this point, anyway –- she appears to be in over her head.
“The Nut Job” is stretched well beyond its breaking point, with lots and lots of filler, registering more like a time-killing television cartoon than animation carefully constructed for the cinema screen.
Look for these mainstream titles to open on theatre screens during the first few months of 2013.
Here’s a sequel that’s pretty much the equal of its predecessor. That is not a compliment.
