AIDS Walk Philly
10,000 people took to the Philadelphia Art Museum area this morning for the 28th annual AIDS Walk Philly 5-K.
“One in four new HIV infections are among youth between ages 13 and 24,” says Robb Reichard, executive director of the AIDS Fund. He says the goal for this year’s walk and run is to raise awareness among this vulnerable population.
The weather turned out to be perfect for the 26th annual AIDS Walk Philly, which attracted several thousand participants.
Organizers expect 15,000 people to take part in the event in Center City which raises money for HIV prevention, education and care.
