Now entering his fourth decade of broadcasting, Steve brings a wide range of experience both in front of and behind the microphones and cameras.
A Philadelphia native he began his on air career in the early 70’s ,the dawn of the “progressive radio” era, as a pioneering DJ at WDAS-FM and WMMR-FM. Steve also has, over a twenty-year period, worked in both the news and news/talk formats in Boston, from 1988 to 1994 at WBZ-AM and WHDH-AM and Philadelphia at WWDB-FM, WPHT-AM and must recently at Sports Radio 610 WIP.
In addition to his radio experience, Steve also has written and produced numerous television documentaries as well as having worked in public broadcasting in 1971 to 1973 at WNET-TV, New York City, on the award winning nightly news and public affairs program The 51st State. He has also co-created and hosted The Review, for Comcast’s CN8 and The Phantom Gourmet for New England Cable News.
On the managerial side, Steve has worked with Electric Factory Concerts, in their new media/marketing department, as Director of Operations for radio station WMMR-FM, 1994-1998 and created and directed the online internet based radio station The Voice while consulting for Village Voice Media in 2001.
Other consultant clients include Parco International, producers of non-fiction television, the People’s Medical Society and the Annenberg School of Communications at the University of Pennsylvania.
