Elizabeth Hur has joined CBS 3 (KYW-TV) as a general assignment reporter, Vice President and News Director Susan Schiller has announced.

Hur comes home to the Philadelphia area from WCBS-TV in New York where she has been a freelance reporter since 2007. Previously, she had served as a reporter for KTVX, the ABC station in Salt Lake City and at Capital News 9 in Albany, New York.

A former intern for CBS 3, Hur’s most memorable experience from her internship days was covering both the Democratic and Republican National Conventions in 2000. She also interned with CBS Evening News, ABC’s 20/20 and NY1 News.

A native of Seoul, Korea, Elizabeth is a graduate of New York University where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in communications studies in 2002. She is fluent in Korean.
