The Wells Fargo Center, home of the Philadelphia 76ers and Flyers, hosted its first sporting event on August 31, 1996. Team USA faced Canada in a first round of the World Cup of Hockey.

The home of the Flyers and 76ers has seen quite a few name changes throughout its history. These names include Spectrum II, CoreStates Center, First Union Center and Wachovia Center.

Planning on heading to the Wells Fargo Center for a 76ers or Flyers game? Here is a guide to help you enjoy your experience.

Getting There

Driving:
With a capacity of approximately 20,000, the Wells Fargo Center is the smallest of the South Philadelphia stadiums. So traffic on game nights is not as bad, but you have to be careful in case there is another event going on at the same time.

For a list of directions to the Wells Fargo Center, you can visit this link: www.wachoviacenter.com.

Train:
Whether you hop on SEPTA's Broad Street Line or take the PATCO High Speed Line in from New Jersey, the train may be your best option to avoid traffic headaches.

Bus:
Once again, SEPTA offers a variety of bus options to get you to the stadium.
