Vick's poor play against the Browns is more important than the winning drive because it shows many troubling signs. While the winning drive was a positive, let's not forget he almost threw the game away on the pass before the touchdown. I believe he will be better as this season goes on, but his poor play trends to what we saw from him last season too many times. Holding the ball too long, poor reads and not finding the open receiver are all problems we were told would be corrected after Vick had a full offseason and training camp. I hope I am wrong but this performance points to what could be a very disappointing season for Vick.

The fact that Vick looked like a rookie through 3 quarters and 9 minutes is the bigger issue here. Yeah it's great that he took the team on a 91 yard drive to win the game, but he was supposed to be playing like that the whole game! OK I get that he was rusty after only taking 12 snaps in the preseason, but if that was "rust" then the whole team better be getting tetanus shots today at the Novacare complex!
