Woman Found Dead, Had Burns On Body After Firefighters Responded To Calls For Smoke At Society Hill Apartment
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- A woman was discovered dead after firefighters responded to calls for smoke at an apartment in Society Hill. It happened on the 700 block of Lombard Street, shortly after 9:30 a.m.
The identity of the 58-year-old woman has not been released.
Police say she was unresponsive and had burns on her body.
She was pronounced dead at the scene.
An investigation is ongoing.
